Your Questions Answered
Is this a good snake for a first-time owner?
This boa is best for keepers with some reptile experience. While generally docile, its potential adult size and specific husbandry requirements for heat and humidity demand prior knowledge. We recommend starting with a smaller colubrid if you are new to snake keeping.
How is it shipped, and when will it arrive?
We ship via FedEx Priority Overnight to your door, with live arrival guarantee. Orders placed before 11 AM MT ship same day from our Boise facility. You will receive tracking and must be present to sign for the package. We do not hold at FedEx locations.
What setup do you recommend?
Start with a secure 10-20 gallon enclosure with a locking lid. Provide a hot spot of 88-90°F via an under-tank heater regulated by a thermostat, an ambient temperature around 80°F, a humid hide, and a large water bowl for soaking. Cypress mulch or coconut husk substrate works well for maintaining humidity.
