What does “ph Amel” mean?
“ph” stands for “possible heterozygous.” This gecko carries one copy of the Amelanism (albino) gene from one parent. It visually shows the Tangerine Oreo traits but can pass the Amel gene to offspring when paired with another Amel carrier or visual.
What setup does this gecko need?
A 10-gallon enclosure minimum for a juvenile, upgrading to 20+ gallons for an adult. Provide a humid hide, a dry hide, a shallow water dish, and under-tank heating on one side to create a thermal gradient of 88-90°F on the warm end and 75-78°F on the cool end.
