Description
The Tangerine Albino Honduran Milk Snake Female (#11524-24) is a captive-bred reptile for the intermediate to advanced keeper seeking a visually striking and reliably feeding specimen. This morph combines the classic tricolor banding of the Honduran with intense orange pigmentation and albino red eyes. Since we added it to our inventory in January 2026, it has consistently been a top performer in our colubrid category.
Stand-Out Features
- Vibrant Tangerine & White Banding: The albino gene removes black pigment, allowing the bright orange and clean white bands to dominate for a high-contrast appearance.
- Proven Feeding Response: In our care, this specimen has demonstrated a strong and consistent feeding drive on appropriately sized frozen/thawed rodents.
- Manageable Adult Size: Honduran Milk Snakes reach a robust 4 to 5 feet, offering substantial presence while remaining a manageable snake for experienced handlers.
- Captive-Bred Reliability: As a captive-bred animal, it avoids the stress and parasite loads of wild-caught imports, leading to better long-term health.
- Classic Colubrid Temperament: Known for being active and alert display animals, they typically settle into a handleable disposition with regular, confident interaction.

Your Questions Answered
What is the temperament like for handling?
Honduran Milk Snakes are generally nervous as juveniles but calm with age and regular, gentle handling. They are fast-moving and can be musky when young, but rarely bite. Consistent, brief handling sessions are key to developing a tractable adult.
What enclosure setup do you recommend?
A 20-gallon long tank is suitable for a juvenile. Adults require a 40-gallon breeder or larger enclosure (4x2x2 ft is ideal) with secure locking lids, as they are escape artists. Provide a thermal gradient with an under-tank heater on a thermostat, a humid hide, and plenty of snug hiding spots.
Is this snake a good choice for a beginner?
While their care is straightforward, their speed and occasional defensive behaviors (musking) make them better suited for a keeper with some prior snake experience. A Corn Snake or Ball Python is often a more suitable first snake.
