Your Questions Answered
What does “Hypo” mean for her appearance?
Hypomelanistic means reduced black pigment. She will have very few, if any, black markings on her nails, scales, or eyes. This allows her base orange and yellow colors to appear more vivid and clear without dark pattern overlay.
Is she eating on her own?
Yes. She is an established young adult feeding aggressively on a staple diet of appropriately sized dubia roaches or crickets, along with daily offerings of fresh, chopped greens like collard and mustard greens.
When will her color be fully developed?
Her orange coloration is already prominent. As a young adult, she will continue to intensify and may develop deeper, richer hues with each shed over the next 12-18 months, especially with proper UVB lighting and nutrition.
