However, they do require specific humidity and temperature gradients. We recommend them for keepers who have done basic research or have some experience with reptiles.
What do I need to have ready before it arrives?
You should have a fully set up and stabilized enclosure. This includes a 10-gallon or larger tank with a secure lid, a under-tank heat mat on a thermostat, a humid hide, a dry hide, a shallow water dish, and a substrate like paper towel or coconut fiber. Have appropriate feeder insects and calcium supplement on hand.
How is the gecko shipped, and is it safe?
We ship via overnight courier in a secure, insulated box with a heat or cool pack as needed for weather. The gecko is contained in a breathable deli cup with padding. While we ensure the animal’s safety, we note that our packaging could be better—the product itself is perfect, but the outer box is flimsy. We are working with our supplier to improve this.
