Your Questions Answered
Does this add-on affect the reliability of my pistol?
No. This is a direct replacement for the factory polymer cover plate. It’s a simple, non-moving part. The measured 1.4 oz weight has a negligible effect on slide mass and cycling. Our shop demo Glock runs this plate without issue.
Will the colors rub or wear off?
The colors are not a surface coating. They are achieved through a laser engraving process that removes layers of anodizing, revealing the different colored layers beneath. The hard anodized top layer protects the design, making it highly resistant to holster wear, solvents, and handling.
Is any fitting or gunsmithing required?
No. This is a true drop-in part designed to OEM specifications. You remove your factory rear sight, swap the cover plate, and re-install the sight with the original pin. No filing, sanding, or special tools are needed.
