“ph” stands for possible heterozygous. This gecko carries one copy of the normal gene and may carry one copy of the Amelanism and Oreo recessive genes. Breeding trials are required to prove out these traits.
Is this gecko breeding-ready?
Yes. As an adult male in prime condition, he is ready to be introduced to a compatible female. We recommend a short acclimation period in his new enclosure before introduction.
What is the care requirement for an African Fat Tail Gecko?
They require a secure 20-gallon long enclosure minimum, a humid hide, a warm side of 88-90°F, a cool side around 75°F, and a diet of gut-loaded insects like crickets and dubia roaches. They are terrestrial and need more humidity than a leopard gecko.
