What does “het Ghost” mean for breeding?
This gecko carries one copy of the recessive Ghost gene. To produce visual Ghost offspring, it must be paired with another gecko that is either visual Ghost or also heterozygous (het) for Ghost. Breeding two hets gives a statistical chance of producing visuals.
Is this a good gecko for a beginner?
African Fat Tails have care requirements similar to Leopard Geckos but are often more sensitive to humidity and stress. We recommend this adult for keepers with some prior reptile experience, not for first-time owners.
