Description
The Reverse Okeetee Tessera Corn Snake is a designer morph combining the bold, clean-edged saddles of the Reverse Okeetee with the clean, unbroken dorsal stripe of the Tessera gene. This is a standout animal for the intermediate to advanced keeper looking to add a visually striking, reliably feeding specimen to their collection. It has been a consistent reorder item for us since early 2026 due to its popularity.
Stand-Out Features
- Defined Pattern: The Tessera gene produces a clean, solid dorsal stripe that runs the length of the body, contrasting sharply with the lateral pattern.
- High-Contrast Coloration: Reverse Okeetee influence provides wide, bright white or orange borders around deep red or rich orange saddles.
- Proven Genetics: This is an established morph combination, not an experimental project. You know what you’re getting.
- Excellent Feeder: Like most corn snakes, this morph takes readily to frozen/thawed rodents with a strong feeding response.
- Manageable Adult Size: Adults typically reach 3.5 to 5 feet, making them a manageable size in a standard 4x2x2 enclosure.

Your Questions Answered
How is this snake shipped?
We ship via FedEx Priority Overnight to ensure live arrival. Snakes are packaged in a secure, insulated shipping box with a heat or cold pack as needed for weather. A note from our staff: the animal itself is perfect, but we find the manufacturer’s shipping box could be more robust, so we add extra reinforcement for security.
What does ‘Reverse Okeetee’ mean?
A Reverse Okeetee is a selectively bred line of amelanistic (lacking black pigment) corn snake. It is characterized by intensely bright background colors (often orange) and very wide, clean white borders around its saddles. It’s essentially an enhanced version of the standard Amel morph.
Will the colors change as it grows?
Yes. Juveniles often show more red pigment, which will typically intensify and may spread, while the white borders can become even more brilliant with age. The Tessera stripe will remain distinct. This is a morph that generally improves with maturity.
