Is this gecko sensitive to light like other albinos?
The Tremper albino strain is notably less light-sensitive than other albino lines. They do well with standard low-wattage heat bulbs and UVB lighting, though providing hides is always essential.
How is the stripe pattern inherited?
The Red Stripe trait is polygenic, meaning it’s influenced by multiple genes. Breeding two striped animals increases the odds of striped offspring, but does not guarantee it like a simple recessive trait.
What’s the difference between ‘Red Stripe’ and ‘Super Stripe’?
A ‘Super Stripe’ typically exhibits a nearly complete, unbroken stripe down the entire back with very little pattern interruption. Our Red Stripes show strong, defined stripes, but may have minor breaks or patterning along the sides.
