Your Questions Answered
How red will this dragon get?
The base red color is already visible. The hypo gene will prevent most dark markings from developing, allowing the red and orange hues to become more saturated and clean with each shed. Maximum color is typically reached between 12-18 months of age with proper UVB lighting and nutrition.
What setup does a baby bearded dragon need?
A 40-gallon breeder tank is the minimum starting size, requiring a basking zone of 105-110°F, a cool side around 80°F, and a high-output UVB tube light spanning 2/3 of the enclosure. Substrate should be solid (tile, paper towel) for babies to prevent impaction risk.
Is this dragon handled often?
Yes. Our staff handles juveniles regularly for health checks and socialization. This animal is accustomed to human presence, which helps reduce stress during the transition to its new home. We recommend brief, daily handling sessions to maintain this temperament.
