The Mutant Pacman Frog is a hybrid device. Its primary function is compensation, directing gas to control recoil and muzzle rise. While its pronged design does help mitigate some muzzle flash, it is not as effective as a dedicated flash hider in low-light conditions.
Will this work on my .223 Wylde barrel?
Yes. The 1/2×28 thread pitch is standard for .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO barrels, which includes .223 Wylde chambers. Ensure your barrel’s threads are clear and properly cut before installation.
Does it require timing with a crush washer or shims?
Yes. For proper orientation, you must use a standard muzzle device crush washer or a set of precision shims. The device should be timed so the top ports are oriented upward when the rifle is held in a normal firing position.
