Description
The Leopard Yellowbelly Ball Python Baby is a distinct morph that combines the Leopard gene’s pattern reduction with the Yellowbelly’s clean, bright coloration. It’s for the keeper looking to add a visually striking, proven genetic line to their collection. Since we added it in fall 2025, this combination has become a consistent reorder due to its popularity.
Stand-Out Features
- Proven Genetic Combination: The Leopard and Yellowbelly genes are established, predictable co-dominant morphs known for their clean results and breeding potential.
- Enhanced Pattern & Color: Expect a reduction of the typical alien head patterns into a more blushed or speckled appearance, paired with a noticeably cleaner, brighter yellow underside from the Yellowbelly influence.
- Excellent Foundation Animal: This morph is a cornerstone for numerous advanced projects, including combos like the Ivory, Super Stripe, and complex leopard blends.
- Established Feeding Response: Like most Ball Pythons from our collection, this animal is started on frozen/thawed rodents, promoting a reliable and safe feeding routine.
- Captive-Bred & Healthy: Bred in-house or sourced from trusted partners, each animal is quarantined and health-checked before sale.

Your Questions Answered
What does the Leopard gene do to the pattern?
The Leopard gene reduces and breaks up the standard alien head patterns of a normal Ball Python, often creating a speckled, blushed, or “dusty” appearance. It simplifies the pattern while allowing the Yellowbelly’s clean coloration to stand out more prominently.
Is the Yellowbelly gene visible in this baby?
Yes. While the full “flames” along the sides may develop more with age, the Yellowbelly influence is immediately visible in the significantly cleaner, brighter yellow ventral (belly) scales and the overall reduction of dark speckling in the pattern, giving a cleaner look.
What are the breeding possibilities with this snake?
This is a powerful double-heterozygous animal. Breeding it to another Leopard Yellowbelly can produce Supers of both genes. Breeding it to normals or other single-gene morphs will yield visual Leopards, visual Yellowbellies, and normals carrying the opposite gene, making it highly versatile for project building.
