Description
The Enchi Lemonback Ball Python combines the Enchi gene’s pattern enhancement with the Lemonback’s distinctive dorsal stripe and reduced pattern. This morph is for breeders seeking to produce clean, high-contrast animals and for keepers who appreciate a bright, well-defined snake. Since adding it to our lineup in early 2024, it has proven to be a consistently popular and reliable reorder item for our customers.
Stand-Out Features
- Enhanced Pattern & Color: The Enchi gene intensifies yellows and oranges while reducing and cleaning up the alien head patterns along the sides.
- Defined Dorsal Stripe: The Lemonback influence contributes a clean, often unbroken, light-colored stripe running down the spine.
- Proven Genetic Potential: A solid foundational morph for projects aiming for clarity and color, compatible with numerous other genes.
- Established Feeding Response: Like most Ball Pythons, this animal readily accepts frozen/thawed rodents.
- Manageable Adult Size: Mature into the standard 3-5 foot range, making them suitable for most standard reptile enclosures.

Your Questions Answered
What does “Enchi Lemonback” mean?
This snake carries two specific genetic traits. “Enchi” is a co-dominant gene known for brightening colors, reducing pattern, and enhancing blushing. “Lemonback” is an incomplete dominant gene that produces a distinct, light-colored dorsal stripe and further reduces lateral patterning. The combination creates a clean, high-contrast animal.
What size enclosure does it need?
As a juvenile, it can be housed in a 10-20 gallon enclosure or a 6-12 quart tub. A healthy adult will require a minimum of a 40-gallon breeder tank or equivalent PVC enclosure (36″L x 18″W x 12″H). Provide appropriate hides, a water bowl, and proper thermal gradient.
What can I breed it with?
The Enchi Lemonback is highly versatile. Breeding to another Enchi can produce Super Enchis. Pairing with other pattern-reducing or color-enhancing genes like Pastel, Mojave, or Pinstripe can yield exceptional offspring. It’s an excellent addition to projects targeting cleaner, brighter combos like Lemon Blasts or Enchi Fires.
