Your Questions Answered
Is this snake good for a first-time owner?
This python is best for keepers with some reptile experience. While its care is straightforward, its potential adult size and initial defensive nature of neonates mean it’s better suited as a second or third snake. Beginners should consider a smaller species like a corn snake or ball python.
What should I have ready before it arrives?
Have a secure enclosure with appropriate heating (thermostat-controlled), hiding spots on both the warm and cool ends, a water bowl, and a reliable way to measure temperature and humidity. The enclosure should be fully set up and stabilized at correct temperatures for at least 24 hours before the snake’s arrival.
How is it shipped and packaged?
We ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for guaranteed morning delivery. The snake is securely packaged in a breathable, insulated deli cup inside a shipping box with heat or cool packs as needed for weather. Please note: while the animal itself is perfect, we find the external shipping box can be flimsy, so handle with care upon delivery.
