Description
The Banana Cinnamon Ball Python is a distinct morph combining two popular genes for a unique, high-contrast appearance. It’s for the keeper looking to add a proven, eye-catching animal to their collection. Since we added it in late 2024, this combination has become a consistent seller due to its reliable pattern and coloration.
Stand-Out Features
- Vibrant Coloration: The Banana gene provides a bright yellow base, while the Cinnamon gene deepens the browns and enhances pattern contrast.
- Proven Genetics: This is an established co-dominant morph, not a complex multi-gene project, making its traits predictable and reliable.
- Excellent Temperament: Like most Ball Pythons, this morph typically exhibits a calm, manageable disposition suitable for various experience levels.
- Feeding Response: We find these animals to be consistent, eager feeders on appropriately sized frozen/thawed rodents.
- Visual Appeal: The interplay between the yellow and cinnamon-brown creates a snake that stands out without being overly flashy.

Your Questions Answered
How does the coloration change as the snake ages?
The Banana coloration typically intensifies with age, often developing more freckling. The Cinnamon influence helps maintain darker, richer brown pattern elements, preventing the animal from washing out. The high contrast usually remains throughout its life.
What are the genetics, and what can I breed it to?
This animal carries one copy each of the Banana and Cinnamon genes. Breeding to a normal will produce offspring that are 25% Normal, 25% Banana, 25% Cinnamon, and 25% Banana Cinnamon. Breeding to another Banana Cinnamon or to single-gene animals opens up more complex projects.
What setup do you recommend for a juvenile?
A 10-20 gallon enclosure with a secure lid is sufficient. Provide a hide on both the warm and cool end, a water bowl, and appropriate substrate like coconut husk or cypress mulch. Maintain an ambient temperature of 78-80°F with a basking spot of 88-92°F and humidity between 50-60%.
