Description
The Banana Bee Ball Python Baby is a striking designer morph combining the Banana and Spider genes, resulting in a bright yellow base with distinct webbed patterning. This is an ideal choice for intermediate to advanced keepers looking to add a proven, visually impressive morph to their collection. Since we started stocking it in mid-2024, it has consistently been one of our top-selling ball python morphs.
Stand-Out Features
- Vibrant Banana Gene: Displays a bright, clean yellow base coloration that intensifies with age.
- Distinct Bee Pattern: The Spider gene influence creates a reduced, web-like pattern that contrasts sharply against the yellow background.
- Proven Genetics: This is an established, predictable morph combination, not an experimental project.
- Excellent Feeding Response: Like most Spider-complex animals, these typically exhibit a strong and reliable feeding instinct on frozen/thawed rodents.
- Manageable Size: As with all ball pythons, this morph stays at a manageable adult size, suitable for most standard enclosures.

Your Questions Answered
Does this morph have any known health issues?
The Spider gene, present in the “Bee” component, is associated with a neurological condition known as the “wobble.” This can range from imperceptible to a noticeable head tremor, particularly when the animal is excited or feeding. It does not typically impact quality of life or feeding response. All Spider-complex animals should be considered to have this trait.
How will the colors change as it matures?
The bright yellow Banana coloration will generally hold and often become more saturated. The pattern may darken slightly, and some freckling (small dark spots) is common in Banana morphs as they age, adding to the animal’s character.
What should I have ready for its arrival?
You need a secure, escape-proof enclosure (a 10-20 gallon tank or equivalent tub is suitable for a baby), a regulated heat source (UTH with thermostat recommended), two snug hides, a water bowl, and proper substrate like coconut husk or cypress mulch. Have its first meal ready—a frozen/thawed hopper mouse.
