What ammunition does it handle best?
Based on our staff testing, it runs flawlessly with standard 115gr and 124gr 9mm loads. We did experience one hiccup with a specific brand of 147gr subsonic ammunition during testing, but it has been reliable with all other common defensive and range rounds.
Is the dot bright enough for outdoor use?
Yes. The auto-brightness sensor is effective, and the ten manual settings include two that are specifically over-driven for bright, sunny conditions. The dot remains visible even against a bright skyline.
Does it co-witness with iron sights?
It depends on your slide cut and iron sight height. When mounted on a standard Glock MOS slide with factory-height sights, you will achieve a lower 1/3 co-witness, keeping your backup sights usable in the lower portion of the window.
