Description
The Albino Spotnose Ball Python combines two classic morphs into a visually striking snake with excellent temperament. This is a solid choice for intermediate keepers looking to add reliable genetics to their collection. Since we started stocking this morph in late 2024, it has consistently been one of our top sellers in the ball python category.
Stand-Out Features
- Double-Gene Visual Impact: The Albino gene removes black pigment, while the Spotnose gene alters the head pattern and enhances the dorsal pattern, creating a bright yellow and white snake with unique markings.
- Proven Feeding Response: In our care, these animals have demonstrated a strong and consistent feeding drive on appropriately sized frozen/thawed rodents.
- Manageable Adult Size: Like all ball pythons, this morph reaches a manageable 3-5 feet in length, making enclosure requirements straightforward for most hobbyists.
- Established Genetics: Both the Albino and Spotnose genes are recessive and well-documented, providing predictable outcomes in breeding projects.
- Docile Disposition: This morph maintains the characteristic calm and handleable nature of the ball python species.

Your Questions Answered
What is the difference between an Albino and an Albino Spotnose?
The Albino Spotnose is a double recessive morph. It carries both the Albino gene, which removes melanin (black pigment), and the Spotnose gene, which modifies the head stamp and dorsal pattern. The Spotnose influence often creates a cleaner, more defined pattern compared to a standard Albino.
What are the breeding possibilities with this snake?
This is a visual double recessive animal. Bred to a normal ball python, all offspring will be 100% heterozygous (carrying one copy) for both Albino and Spotnose. Bred to another Albino Spotnose, all offspring will be visual Albino Spotnose. It can also be used to create more complex combos like Albino Enchi Spotnose or Albino Pastel Spotnose.
What setup do you recommend for a juvenile?
A secure 10-20 gallon enclosure or a 6-quart tub is suitable. Provide a hide on both the warm and cool end, a water dish, and appropriate substrate like coconut husk or cypress mulch. Maintain an ambient temperature of 78-80°F with a warm spot of 88-92°F. Humidity should be kept between 50-60%.
