Your Questions Answered

What does “66% Het” mean?

This gecko comes from a visual Zulu parent. Statistically, 66% of the offspring from that pairing will carry the recessive Zulu gene. This animal has a 2 in 3 chance of being a carrier. Breeding it to a visual Zulu or another het will determine its genetic status.

How do I care for an African Fat Tail Gecko?

They require a secure enclosure with a temperature gradient (75-88°F warm side), higher humidity than Leopard Geckos (50-60% with a moist hide), and a diet of gut-loaded insects. They are terrestrial and need floor space rather than height.

How is the gecko shipped?

We ship via overnight courier with live arrival assurance. The gecko is secured in a breathable deli cup with bedding, inside an insulated box. Note: We find the manufacturer’s shipping box to be flimsy, so we reinforce all shipments with additional packaging for maximum safety.
